The Red Kettle bell-ringing program is The Salvation Army's largest effort of the year. Volunteers are needed to stand at the kettle(s) and ring bells. Money raised provides the operating funds for the five worship and service centers around Columbus to meet the needs of the poorest in Central Ohio. They support Choice (food) Pantries, After-School Tutoring, Adult Education/Career Enhancement (including earning GEDs), Permanent Housing for homeless families, the residential Adult Rehab program for men, utility assistance, Anti-Human Trafficking efforts, emergency, and disaster relief and much, much more.
Northwest Chapel has “adopted” two Red Kettles. They are located at both entrances to the Walmart on Bethel Road in Columbus.
You are asked to sign up for a two-hour shift on December 14th.
You can work alone, in a small group, or with your family! Consider bringing a favorite pet to draw a crowd!
