Mid-Ohio Foodbank

1 in 6 Ohioans and 1 in 4 children face food insecurity every day.  No one should go hungry, and yet thousands of people go hungry in our community every day.  Since 1980, The Mid-Ohio Foodbank has been working with grocers, food companies, Ohio farmers, the USDA, and community partners to obtain food and distribute it to 650 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites across central and eastern Ohio.

On December 7th, you have TWO different opportunities to volunteer at Mid-Ohio Foodbank’s Kroger Food Pantry (3960 Brookham Drive, Grove City)

1. Pantry Assistant:  You will guide shoppers through their food pantry choices.  There is some quick training, but the job is easy and the rewards are huge!
- We need eight volunteers to serve from 7:30 am to 11:00 am
- Families with children 11+ are welcome.

2. Pantry EXPRESS Assistant:  If you’d like a workout, this choice is for you! You will spend your time taking pre-packed bags of food "curbside" to shoppers who are waiting in their cars.
- We need six volunteers to serve from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm
- Families with children 11+ are welcome.

For each shift, we plan to meet at Northwest Chapel and carpool, although you are certainly free to meet us there!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please do NOT register on the Mid-Ohio Foodbank site.  We will submit registration on your behalf.
If you also register on their site, it could cause them to be shorthanded for that shift!!

complete registration.
